IEC 61850 10 substation testing tool

RELY TEST’s key role is to leverage remote and automated test capabilities in digital substations, in line with the IEC 61850.

RELY-TEST is a hardware device that interfaces with the different IEDs and allows automated and remote validations at substation and process bus levels. It is designed to simulate different conditions with in the substation after a software update process, maintenance, commissioning, service restoration after a fault, extensión of positions, etc.

The equipment uses the substation communication protocols and services, data model, configuration language, standardized files, and engineering processes of the IEC 61850-10 standard, and makes use of the services defined in the estándar such as simulation, test mode, filetransfer, etc.

Thanks to these features, RELY-TEST offers configurable, reliable, controllable, and remote automated test processes with very few resources: the equipment and a LAN network.

This innovative device leads to significant cost savings in the engineering área processes in terms of time, people displaced, eléctrical switchgear, amongothers, and, of course, an increase in safety since in systems with process bus the electrical measurements are transformed into digital data avoiding the injection of power.
