The CFAA (Aeronautics Advanced Manufacturing Center) has chosen RELY-CPPS, the Cyber Physical Production System Platform of Relyum, for implementing Industry 4.0 projects in its facilities.
The CFAA was created in 2015, when a cluster of companies and the University of the Basque Country signed an agreement to create a mutually-benefitting centre; the purpose of this centre is to develop technology that is expeditiously applicable to key processes of the engine component and aeronautic propulsion system sectors.
The first project developed by the center in collaboration with Relyum carries out data acquisition from machines and sensors and post-analysis in order to implement a Predictive Maintenance Service and a Machine Monitoring Tool in its facilities. The machine chosen for this initial project is an Electro Discharge machine from the Basque Manufacturer ONA EDM, one of the founding members of the CFAA.
RELY-CPPS will perform pre-processing functions and will deploy cybersecurity mechanisms to ensure the collection of secure and reliable information.
