Japan is well-known worldwide by its manufacturing industry, where Time-Sensitive Networking is expected to play a very important role in the coming years.
In order to meet this demand, Relyum has signed a distribution agreement with Sherpa Inc. for the Japanese market. This partnership will allow Sherpa to provide an integrated solution for industrial automation and communications projects based on two pillars:
- a TSN capable industrial switch based on Relyum technology
- a Real-Time OS with a standard socket interface for TSN
Additionally, in projects that involve Profinet communications, Sherpa can also provide the Profinet device protocol stack to the above solution. This full solution will be explained by Sherpa in an coming Webinar, organized by Profibus & Profinet International Japan by the end August.
